2019 has been an impressive year for Old Tonbridgian, Zak Crawley (WH 12–16) who received a call up to the England Cricket squad during its New Zealand tour, after having achieved 820 runs over the summer for Kent. In doing so, Zak became the 8th Tonbridgian to play test cricket.

Watch Zak's interview with BBC South East today below:

In December, he was announced to be joining a 17-strong squad for the four-match Test series against South Africa starting at SuperSport Park, Centurion on Boxing Day, 26 December 2019.

OT cricketer, Marcus O’Riordan (FH 11-16) has also had an outstanding year, making his first-class cricket debut for Kent in the Specsavers County Championship Division One match against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in early September. Marcus is also one of the club’s Academy scholars. He featured with both bat and ball in the match.
