Tonbridge School is celebrating outstanding academic achievements this summer, with both A Level and GCSE results reaching record highs outside of the Covid years.
Upper Sixth leavers achieved an exceptional 37% A*, a school record, alongside 72% A*/A and 92% A*-B. Nearly half of the year group secured straight A*/A grades across all their A Level courses. Reflecting their hard work and ambition, 93% of leavers have secured offers at their choice universities, the vast majority at their first-choice destinations. Remarkably, 67% of the 2025 cohort are progressing to universities ranked in the Top 100 of the QS World University Rankings, with eleven students accepted to read Medicine this year.
GCSE results were equally impressive. Lower Sixth pupils set a new benchmark with almost half of all provisional grades awarded at the top mark of 9 (47%), and more than three-quarters of the cohort (76%) achieving grades 9-7.
The Art Department celebrated national recognition for two pupils, Max (HS4) and Ben (OH), who achieved top marks at both GCSE and A Level. Ben will continue his artistic journey studying Art at Ruskin College, Oxford.
These results underscore Tonbridge School’s continued commitment to academic excellence and the success of its pupils across a wide range of disciplines.
