The latest edition of the Old Tonbridgian Magazine is packed with stories, inspiration and familiar faces. Ed Hyde (FH 11-16) interviews England and British Lions rugby player Ben Earl (JH 11-16), whose action photo graces the cover.
Inside you can read about an enterprising overland trip to Syria before the days of risk assessment, written by Peter Dodge (MH 73-38); an interesting contribution from recent graduate Kit Rawlins (WW 17-22) highlighting the difficulty the younger generation now have finding employment and a fascinating conversation between former Head of English and author Peter Carpenter (CR 92-21) and the musician Antony Hurley (CH 03-08). Following the sad news of John Gibbs' death in June, we publish the eulogy from his funeral. We also bring you a letter from Guy Gibson VC, leader of the Dambusters Raid, to the mother of Gray Healey (WH 33-37), OT sporting highlights, news of OTs, photos of reunions and celebrations throughout the year and much more. It is a publication to keep dipping into.
