| We have been amazed and humbled by the support shown in this year’s 1553 Regular Giving appeal that took place in July through the Telephone Campaign. Thank you so much to all those who have supported us so far. In total £157,486 was raised towards the Foundation Award programme, helping us to provide bursaries, for talented boys whose families could otherwise not afford a Tonbridge education. Included within this figure is a matched fund donation. It is not only the school that benefits from the campaign. It also provides a wonderful opportunity for the callers, all recent leavers, to take advantage of the wealth of experience on offer when talking to members of the Old Tonbridgian community The 16 young OT callers, who were especially recruited and trained for the role, spoke to 358 Old Tonbridgians, giving them a unique chance to find out more about the career paths of OTs and provide them with valuable work experience in an ever more competitive job market for young graduates.
