We were delighted to welcome over 170 parents of Novi boys, joining Tonbridge in 2025, to this year’s Wine Tasting. The evening was a wonderful opportunity to meet other new parents, sit with House groups and spend time with Housemasters in a relaxed and convivial setting.
The ever-popular Call My Bluff style wine night was brilliantly led by our panel: Compere Jean-Patrick Vieu, Head of French and Master in Charge of Fencing; James Fisher, Deputy Head of Co-Curricular, Nancy Gilchrist, Master of Wine; and Jessica Watson-Reynolds, Geography teacher and Assistant Housemaster of Manor.
With wines poured by Park House Novi, each of the four tastings was accompanied by spirited explanations from the panel, as they attempted to persuade parents that their version was the truth. Laughter, lively debate and a touch of friendly competition made for a thoroughly entertaining evening. Congratulations to Oakeshott House who just pipped Cowdery House to the post.
We hope this was not only a fun introduction to the Tonbridge Society, but also a wonderful chance to meet fellow parents, begin building friendships and feel part of the community as your family starts its journey with us over the next five years and beyond.
