Corinne, Anna and John Clugston would like to thank the Headmaster and the School for hosting the memorial event celebrating Mike’s life on 17 August in the Chapel and Barton Science Centre, and also the many people who worked hard behind the scenes to make the event such a success. They would like as well to express their appreciation to everyone who gave up their time to come and share memories of Mike and those who sent kind words in cards and messages. Corinne is sorry that she didn’t manage to speak to everyone on the day, but is very grateful for people giving up their time to join the family in paying tribute to Mike.

Many of the visitors who had not been to the School before commented on the beauty of the buildings and grounds, the friendliness of the people helping, and the enjoyable atmosphere of celebration in the service. Over £800 was donated for the Hospice in the Weald, which is yet another indication of the generosity and kindness of Tonbridge School people and other guests. Corinne and family have been comforted and uplifted by their memories of this special occasion, and Corinne is thankful and proud to belong to such a caring and supportive School community.
