Step Into the Shadows of 1888 Whitechapel
A Private Walking Tour Like No Other
Meet at Whitechapel Underground Station
Tuesday 12 May 2026
6.30pm to 8.00pm
Fog drifts through narrow alleys. Gas lamps flicker against the brick. And in the heart of Victorian London, fear stalks the streets...
Step into 1888 on a private walking tour led by a former Scotland Yard detective and uncover the chilling secrets of Whitechapel. As you tread the cobbled streets, your guide, James, a man who has spent years solving real-life crime, reveals what the newspapers never dared print. Go beyond the blood‑soaked headlines and experience the grit, grime and gaslight of East End life during one of history’s most notorious crime waves. Hear genuine investigative theories, discover what it meant to hunt a killer in an age before forensics, and walk the very streets where shadows once hid deadly secrets. Your journey begins at Whitechapel Station, close to several of the murder sites, before winding towards Spitalfields where the story reaches its dramatic end. Over the 1 – 1.5 hour walk, you’ll hear the tales behind the case and finish at the Ten Bells, a notorious haunt of the victims and, perhaps, their killer. James will also share insights into later East End crime, including the era of the Kray Twins. This isn’t just another Jack the Ripper tour. It’s the case as told by a detective who knows the streets, the files, and the truths hidden between them.
Places: 15
Cost: £22.00
