Winston Churchill and Jennie Jerome were prolific and energetic correspondents and many of their intimate letters – between two highly gifted writers – are being published for the first time in David Lough’s latest book, Darling Winston.
Born in America, talented, outgoing and attractive, Jennie Jerome took London Society by storm and dominated her son Winston's upbringing. David will use their letters to trace Churchill's early emotional, intellectual and political education - and illuminate the gilded world of the Edwardian elite before it was extinguished by the First World War. David Lough wrote the book, No more Champagne - Churchill and his Money, to acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic and 'Darling Winston' promises to be equally successful.
