From 2010 to 2017, Sir Douglas Flint CBE was Group Chairman of HSBC, one of the world’s largest banks. Ten years ago he came to speak at Tonbridge about the ‘Credit Crunch’, the most significant financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930’s. Now he has kindly agreed to return to update us on developments since that crisis. Is a company the size of HSBC too big to manage and too large to fail, is the Banking sector now overregulated and what are the consequences of Brexit for the future of the City of London? If you want to find out about what is happening in the world of finance since the crash of 2007, this is an opportunity to hear from someone who really knows what they're talking about.
