Sourdough Workshop Friday 20th November 10.00am - 2.00pm
Local artisan baker, Laura Verbeek, returns for a second sourdough workshop during which you will learn the fundamentals of making nutritious sourdough loaves and gain practical knowledge of the making process from start to finish. Laura will demonstrate how to create, maintain and use a sourdough starter, learn what to look out for in shop bought loaves’ labelling, and grasp the concept of slow fermentation and its influence on gluten and yeast digestibility.
Homemade pastries, tea and coffee included as well as a loaf to take away. To comply with COVID guidelines and to keep participants safe the group size will be 6 people including the instructor and host who can be socially distanced whenever feasible. Visors will be provided and attendees should bring their own masks, although some will be available if you forget. Sanitiser will be available throughout the workshop.
