‘For What It’s Worth’ A talk by Janie Ramsay for the Tennant Lecture Series
Tuesday 25th January 2022 at 7.00pm
This is an online talk
What factors influence the value of any given antique item? Why do some items increase in value more quickly than others? Why do some go down in value and what makes something worth more than something else? These are just some of the questions that will be discussed during this talk, which sets out to dispel some of the mysteries surrounding antiques. Janie Ramsay started her first Antique shop in the High Street of Tunbridge Wells in 1975, moving to the Pantiles in 1981. She became a Director of Sotheby’s in 1998.
