On Tuesday 29 September, Old Tonbridgian and acclaimed comedian, author and broadcaster Andy Zaltzman (SH 87-92) returned to Tonbridge for the first time in 15 years to help launch the School’s new Fine Mind and Good Heart Lecture Series, introduced as part of the School’s 475th anniversary celebrations.
Speaking to a packed audience, Andy delivered a characteristically witty and thought-provoking performance, drawing on topics ranging from education and current affairs to his lifelong passion for cricket. His unique blend of sharp satire and insightful commentary provided an entertaining start to the new lecture series.
Following the performance, Andy took part in a lively Q&A chaired by James Priory, Headmaster, in which he responded to a wide range of questions from pupils, parents, staff and guests.
