The 1st XI vs OT Hockey Club fixture has traditionally been a highlight of Skinners’ Day, bringing together current pupils and Old Tonbridgians in a celebratory end-of-season match.

The OT Hockey Club already has a strong side competing in the London Open Men’s Division 3 South, so there may not be large numbers required, however, it felt important to open the invitation more widely to OTs who may wish to be involved by either playing or supporting and, just as importantly, to create an opportunity to reconnect with old friends afterwards.

I am delighted to say that Louis Tipper (WH 14-19) has agreed to play in the OT side this year.

I have also invited Richard Hoare and Adrian Schweitzer (former Masters in Charge of Hockey), who have kindly agreed to umpire the match, adding a wonderful sense of continuity to the occasion.
