Fittingly held on Thanksgiving Day, Jake Brewer returned to Tonbridge to share his assessment of Donald Trump’s presidency one year after the election. He explored Trump’s impact on global affairs and reflected on the challenges facing the current UK Government.
Jake had previously spoken at a Tonbridge Business Breakfast in November 2024, where he offered valuable foresight into how the U.S. election outcome could reshape the geo-political landscape.
In this latest session, his ability to connect complex and interrelated issues with clarity made the talk both sobering and inspiring. Attendees also benefited from an engaging Q&A and the opportunity to network within the Tonbridge community, rounding off a compelling and thought-provoking event.
Jake is a Geopolitical Consultant at Horizon Engage, having joined the firm in September 2025. Prior to this, Jake worked at Gatehouse. Jake holds a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
Jake has worked closely on issues related to the energy transition and conflict scenario planning, with a particular focus on the geopolitics of the Asia-Pacific region.
We extend our sincere thanks to Jake and all who attended the event.
If you have a suggestion for a Business Breakfast talk, can provide a venue, or would like to deliver a talk yourself, please contact Adrian Ballard - he would be delighted to hear from you.
