Philip Clement Keevil, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died on August 17, 2026.

Born in London in October 1946, the son of Clement and Olwen Keevil, Philip was educated at Tonbridge School and Trinity College, Oxford, and later graduated as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School.

Soon after beginning his career in England, he met the love of his life, Daisy, at a party in London. They were engaged five days later and went on to be married for 54 years. It was Daisy who persuaded him to move to the United States, which became his adopted home. There, he embarked on a career in investment banking that would span more than four decades in New York and London.

Philip devoted considerable time to education and public service serving as a trustee of St. Bernard's School and St. Andrew's School, a Governor of the City of London School for Girls, and a founding member of the Business Advisory Forum at Oxford University's Saïd Business School. He was also Vice Chairman of the British American Chamber of Commerce and a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Poulters, one of the City of London's Livery Companies.

Music was a lifelong passion. He sang in church choirs throughout his life and was a member of the Advisory Council of the London Symphony Orchestra and a longtime trustee of its American Foundation.

In later years, Philip became deeply involved with the Focused Ultrasound Foundation, eventually founding its UK affiliate. He found such purpose and enjoyment in this work that he never truly retired.

Known for his trademark ascot and pocket square, Philip was a true gentleman with a love of classic cars, field sports and gardening. Above all, though, he was devoted to his family. He was "Poppy" to his grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy. He delighted in their company and in having a devoted audience for his seemingly endless supply of wisdom.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy; children Adrian (Alieda), Augusta Moore (Thomas), and Peter (Pia); grandchildren Walker, Leelee, Leila, Eleanor, Polly, Daisy, and Hugo; and sister, Harriet. He was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Julian.

A funeral will be held at the Church of the Heavenly Rest in New York at 11am on October 19, 2026. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Focused Ultrasound Foundation in Philip's memory.
