Alex Smith-Stephens (OH 19-24), who is now at Clemson University, USA, recently represented the National Collegiate Rugby All Americans Team at the Rugby Town 7s.

We heard from Alex about his experience. 'Rugby Town was unlike anything I’ve ever done. It was a week-long event, 4 days of training and 3 playing 7s in Glendale, Colorado. It hosted 20+ teams from across the globe, and over 70 professional rugby players participating amongst them. I was fortunate to have been selected to the All-American rugby 7s side and participate in this event.

The big highlight for me was scoring with my first touch on the ball and getting to start for the team on the wing. The best way to describe it would be Roslyn Park on steroids, and with more Tonbridge lads coming to the states each year I hope others get the opportunity to experience this event.'
