Hugh Nicholl, a healthcare consultant, appeared in Series 6 of Mastermind in August. His specialist subject was Lyndon B. Johnson, the democrate politician who succeeded John F Kennedy as US President in 1963.
Hugh correctly answered 11 of the 12 questions about Johnson, with no passes, and went on to win the heat following the general knowledge round.
We look forward to seeing Hugh compete in the semi-final in the spring 2027 and wish him all the best.
