Congratulations to Louis Tipper (WH 14–19), who represented Wimbledon HC in the England Hockey Men’s Premier Division Final against Old Georgians.
Wimbledon started the final in outstanding fashion, with Euan Gilmour opening the scoring before Louis doubled the lead in the 25th minute. Old Georgians responded before half-time and went on to complete a 3–2 comeback, securing their fourth Premier Division title in five seasons.
While the result was understandably disappointing for Wimbledon, Louis’ goal in the final marked another impressive milestone in his hockey career. The achievement follows his recent visit to Tonbridge, where he delivered a goalscoring masterclass to current pupils and filmed content with Inject Hockey.
Wimbledon’s run to the final has also secured qualification for the EuroHockey League KO16, and we wish Louis and his teammates every success in Europe next season.
