This feature documentary tells the journey of Malawian duo, Yobu Maligwa and Yosefe Kalekeni, otherwise known as The Madalitso Band, and their encounter with fellow musician, Neil Nayar (Sc 94-99), which took them all from busking on the streets of Lilongwe to performing on world stages, including Glastonbury this summer and appearing on BBC Radio 6 Cerys Matthew's show.
When two Malawian street performers encounter a British travelling musician, an opportunity arises that takes them on a journey from the dusty streets of Malawi to the stages of Zanzibar, Europe and the US, confronting the harsh realities of life as artists and embracing the transformative power of music.
