Further to the Headmaster's email sharing the sad news of John Gibbs' death, we now have details of two occasions at which members of the Tonbridge community may come together to remember and celebrate John's life. 

Funeral Service 
The funeral service will take place at 2.00pm on Wednesday 8 July in the Chapel of St Augustine, Tonbridge School, followed by refreshments in Big School.

Registration is currently open for the funeral only. To help the family and the School with arrangements, please let us know if you plan to attend and whether you will stay for refreshments. 

Unfortunately, parking at the School is very limited on the day. Limited spaces will be available at the Tonbridge School Centre: TN10 3AD and there will be some disabled spaces on request. Parking will also be available at the Castle grounds: TN9 1BH and behind the Ivy House: TN9 1NP.

For those unable to attend, we hope to provide a closed live stream of the service via the Tonbridge Society website. 

John Gibbs Celebration Day and Service of Thanksgiving 
In addition to the funeral service in July, a Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate John's life and provide an opportunity to come together and share memories of 'Gibbo' will take place on Saturday 14 November.

The service will be followed by a lunch of one of Gibbo's favourite meals and the chance to share stories and enjoy an exhibition of images from his time here. Attendees will also be warmly invited to watch the 1st XV match against Dulwich College on the Fifty.

Further details, including arrangements for attendance, will be shared in due course.
