Discover the Hidden Gems of Chiddingstone Castle and
a Cream Tea
Friday 24 April 2026
Chiddingstone, Kent. TN8 7AD
11am to 1pm
Discover Chiddingstone Castle - an historic house and museum in the heart of Kent. Nestled within the National Trust Tudor village of Chiddingstone, Museum Curator Naomi Collick will guide our private group through the grandeur of the White Rose Room, Print Room, Great Hall, Buddhist Room, Egyptian Room, Study, and Victorian Kitchen.
We will learn about the previous owners and the history of this historic home and will discover the fascinating and private collection of eccentric Denys Eyre Bower. We will visit the Library on the first floor and have the opportunity to view some of Bower's book collection.
The Japanese Room is currently undergoing a restoration, however, we will have the opportunity of visiting the temporary store room where the unique collection of objects from this room are kept, allowing us to have an up-close view.
After our one hour tour, we will enjoy a delicious sweet or savoury cream tea in the Castle's beautiful Tea Room. Please feel free to explore the gardens and grounds at leisure thereafter.
Parking at Chiddingstone Castle is included in the cost of your ticket.
