Ashdown Forest Conservation Walk

Enjoy a walk around a private 35-acre site in the heart of the forest. Guided by Ben Chilvers, we will learn about the conservation techniques and projects taking place there, and about the flora and fauna unique to this area.
Our morning will include a demonstration and introduction to bird-ringing, led by expert ornothologist Martin Flores. This is a well-established scientific practice which is crucial to conservation and migration studies. in Spring, the Ashdown Forest comes alive with breeding heathland birds and returning migrants and you might be lucky enough to see the elusive Dartford Warbler amongst many other wonderful species.
