A Century of War Tour at the Imperial War Museum
Wednesday 25 February 2026
Lambeth Road, London. SE1 6HZ
11.30am to 12.30pm
Join us on our second tour of the IWM this term, as we are guided by Alex, key lecturer at the Imperial War Museum, as he takes us through the galleries focusing on a A Century of War. In the dramatic atrium you will see objects such as a Harrier jet, a Spitfire plane and a V2 rocket.
Encounter key objects from their unique collections and examine the themes, links, and stories they tell as you journey through the atrium and onto their new terraced displays.
Since its inception in 1917, IWM has explored the impact of war and conflict on people’s lives. This exclusive, hour long tour gives an insight into our diverse and wide ranging collections and examines the links, themes and stories they tell. From the ‘Little Boy’ atomic bomb to the twisted wreckage of a car destroyed by a suicide bombing in the Iraq War, dive deeper into the impact of war and conflict on people’s lives, from the First World War to the present day.
