BY INVITATION ONLY
We are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to visit the Kensington studio of Senior Royal Academician and Old Tonbridgian, Anthony Whishaw RA. Having recently retired from active painting, it is unlikely the studio will be open in future - making this a truly special occasion for friends of the Tonbridge School Foundation and art aficionados.
In collaboration with his daughter and Studio Manager, Zoe, we warmly invite you to a private, behind-the-scenes tour on Wednesday 11 June, 6pm to 7.30pm.
Described by contemporary art writer Richard Davey as “like walking into Tony’s brain,” Anthony’s largely untouched Kensington studio is a hidden gem, where he lived and worked from 1957 until earlier this year. Zoe will guide the visit, offering personal insights into his remarkable career and artistic practice.
You are also most welcome to join us for tea beforehand at 4.45pm in the Stables Bar, Milestone Hotel, W8 5DL, and/or for dinner at 7.45pm following the tour.
As places are very limited, we would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance at your earliest convenience.
